Pontoon Blackjack is the British derivative of the game. Pontoon works best when you have five to eight people playing, although you have the option of having less or more. One player is designated as the banker and everyone is trying to beat the banker’s hand. The goal is still to get as close to 21 as possible. However, the twist in pontoon is that if a player and the banker both have hands that are equally good, the banker automatically wins.

Due to the fact that the banker has a distinct advantage in this game, the person chosen for the role of banker is done at random. There are of course, rules of Pontoon that get more in depth, but this is the overall gist of how to play this variation of online blackjack.
